For this project, a young couple - who had just purchased a brownstone in Boston - needed help with space planning and decor for their full gut renovation. The kitchen was relocated to the center of the home in order to improve the flow in the space and maximize entertaining options. The living room was placed right in the front of the home to take advantage of the light from the large windows. The master bedroom was placed in the back of the home, far away from the street, to create a restful, relaxing retreat. A powder room - tucked under the stairs, and a laundry room help to fill in previously unused spaces and utilize every corner available.
For the decor, a luxe glam living room suite was proposed featuring comfortably tailored furniture with chrome details and matching chrome tables. Fabrics include an array of high-contrast black and white set on a shimmering viscose blend rug and surrounded by neutral grey walls. Bright, abstract artwork brings color and a bit of fun into the space. In the kitchen, sleek grey cabinets are topped with marbled quartz countertops and a glass mosaic backsplash. Modern lighting helps illuminate the practical kitchen.
